At these shows, we'll chronologically perform singles & songs from our first two albums, talk about the creation / writing of the music, and chat about whatever else pops into our heads! We'll also perform some brand-new songs that represent the musical future of TBP. YES, new songs! Several YOU ME US 2016 dates already on sale at TheBandPerry.com, MORE DATES TO COME!"

Back in February, The Band Perry played a show in Portland with the same format. It wasnt a typical concert it was as if they were friends in your living room playing music, laughing, and telling stories. If you have the opportunity to go I would highly recommend such a unique experience. Tour dates can be found out TBP's website.

I made a short preview video using clips I took to help promote the tour check it out! I will be posting a longer version soon so stay tuned.

March 4, 2016: New Single Coming Soon

Looks like The Band Perry will be releasing a new single to country radio soon! A radio personality tweeted a picture of a note from the band stating "We can't wait for our next single at Country radio. Minutes away!" Now that The Band Perry has parted ways with Big Machine, it seems they are wasting no time in getting their new music out. No official release date or name yet. Stay tuned for updates.

March 1, 2016: The Band Perry and Big Machine Part Ways

It is official. The Band Perry and Big Machine Label Group have parted ways. Earlier today the group posted on Facebook: "We and Big Machine Label Group have made a mutual decision to bring our working relationship to a close. We are grateful for 6 years of the big moments and great strides we made with our BMLG family and will carry that foundation forward with us as we begin the next leg of our journey." Fans were first clued to this news after Live Forever was removed from the internet for 24 hours and re-uploaded with Copyright The Band Perry, instead of Big Machine.

A representative of Big Machine told the Washington Post "The Big Machine Label Group and The Band Perry have amicably parted ways". Label president, Scott Borchetta tweeted "KP, REID & NEIL - THANKS FOR A GREAT RUN! WISHING YOU NOTHING BUT SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE. XO @BIGMACHINE"

What does this mean? TBP has been very adamant they and their new music are not going anywhere. At a show last night Kimberly confirmed that their third album, Heart + Beat has been finished for months. She explained "This go around it has been about 90% business and 10% music. The album has been finished for a while, we've gone through some reorganization... do we still have a date? Are we still saying soon? The answer is yes. It's about to get better than it's ever been and we thank you so much for your patience". A fan also asked about their musical transition to pop to which Kimberly answered "No, The Band Perry is not going pop". Hopefully, we will finally get a release date and track list for Heart + Beat along with a second single.

February 29, 2016: Stay in the Dark Lyrics

We've added the lyrics to The Band Perry's new song, Stay in the Dark, to the site. It is under the Heart + Beat tab in the lyrics section.

Stay in the Dark was co-written by Kimberly, Reid, and Neil, with Jenna Andrews and Benny Cassette. The Band Perry has played this song two times in concert so far. You can watch a clip of the chorus on our Twitter.

February 27, 2016: Concert Review
2/20/16 - Portland, Oregon

The Band Perry performed to a sold out crowd at Revolution Hall. The concert was a benefit for Children's Cancer Association sponsored by 105.1 the Buzz and Fox 12. The venue, in Portland, is a renovated high school that seats 850 people.

This wasn't a typical concert. It was full of energy yet very intimate due to the small venue and unique secrets the band shared with fans in-between songs. You could tell they were siblings in the way they exchanged knowing glances and joked on stage with each other. It was as if they were friends in your living room playing music, laughing, and telling stories. Under the topic of most embarrassing moments, it was revealed that Kimberly often forgets lyrics. "I know when Kimberly forgets the lyrics, you can see it in her face" said Reid. Added Neil, "One time I laughed at her onstage in front of everybody, when she messed up a lyric, and I tell you I got not yelled at, but I got scolded". Which Kimberly interrupted with "I had to call our mother and say your son did not help me onstage tonight" which got a big laugh from the audience. "I got your back now" Neil assured her.

The Band Perry played most of their hits and four new songs; premiering a new song, Stay in the Dark, which was well received. They took the audience through their musical journey, playing songs in chronological order with a few covers mixed in. In between the songs, the audience was delighted to hear tales about their music and family, making the concert a well-rounded feast.

Highlights of the night included a giant sing along to If I Die Young and a cleverly intertwined pop medley of Sweet Dreams, You Make Me Crazy, and Sexy Back which brought the crowd to its feet. After the that, the audience did not spend much time in their sets with high energy songs like Better Dig Two, Done, Chainsaw, and Queen's Fat Bottom Girls.

They closed the show with four of their new songs: Stay in the Dark, Best One Yet, In It Together, and Live Forever. Kimberly prefaced the songs with "We've had the most fun in our whole lives being in the studio making this new music". And it sure looked like it.

Earlier in the show, the audience vigorously protested when Kimberly mentioned their song, Don't Let Me Be Lonely, but announced they wouldn't be playing it. Eventually, they gave in, surprising fans with an unplanned encore.

February 24, 2016: Book for TBP & White House Performance

February 11, 2016: Live Forever has Disappeared

Live Forever has been removed from the American iTunes, YouTube, Vevo, CMT, and Amazon. As of right now Live Forever remains on the Australian iTunes, Big Machine's music store, and the Microsoft Store. No explanation has been given by TBP or their label.

TBPC Note:

I assume this means Heart + Beat will not be released anytime soon. It is possible their label has put the current project to bed and TBP is starting fresh perhaps away from the new pop style and back to their country sound. This is just speculation. No official word yet.

Edit: Live Forever was re-uploaded 24 hours later. TBP later released this video to assure fans.

January 13, 2016: 13 Hours Premiere

Last night, The Band Perry attended the premiere of 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi at the AT&T stadium in Dallas. The event was attended by the stars of the film and the family members of the Americans who lost their lives.

The Band Perry had the privilege of being invited to play Amazing Grace to honor our service men killed in Benghazi. Their performance was touching and full of emotion. Amazing Grace brings out the best qualities of The Band Perry - beautiful yet powerful. This is a must listen. Neil even takes the lead on a verse.

You can also watch a version of their performance that includes a slideshow of the fallen soldiers. We are currently working on fixing our gallery, so to see photos from their performance head over to our Tumblr. To watch an interview with TBP at the premiere, head over The Band Perry Daily.

January 5, 2016: Everything We Know About Heart + Beat
Since August I have been keeping track of all the information I could find about The Band Perry's upcoming album, Heart + Beat. Over the past week I finally sat down to compile all of it. Here is what I've found.

About Heart + Beat

Name: Heart + Beat

Release Date: Early 2016 (Original date 11/20/15)

Story Behind the Name: Kimberly, Neil, and Reid all had different ideas for what they wanted to call the album. They could not agree on a song title to use - instead Heart + Beat was suggested. Heart because they poured their hearts into this album and Beat because of the beats in the songs.

Album Art: A photoshoot for the album took place on September 6th and also in Indianapolis on September 16th. Fun Fact: The Band Perry was in Indianapolis for a photoshoot and heard that Taylor Swift's 1989 was also in Indianapolis. They sent her flowers to congratulate her on a successful tour and she immediately invited them to come sing If I Die Young with her that night.

Why the Wait: In TBP's live chat on Facebook, Kimberly said they are waiting on the business side of the album. What does this mean? Live Forever peaked at #27 on the country charts and sold under 100,000 copies. It is currently #35 on the Adult Pop charts. Their team could be waiting to see if Live Forever goes anywhere in the pop world, but regardless of that, TBP is going to have to release a second (hopefully more successful) single and give it time to climb the charts. Think about it. For Pioneer, Better Dig Two went #1 and multi-platinum prior to the release of the album and DONE was well on its way up the charts. Those singles helped Pioneer's success. In order for Heart + Beat to be successful, TBP needs a Better Dig Two like hit.

The big news today is that The Band has officially announced their new album title and cover. It is titled Pioneer and was produced by Dann Huff. Reid and Neil said about the album: "When we set out to record PIONEER, the three of us drove across the country from Greeneville to Malibu to work with one of our musical superheroes, Rick Rubin," said Reid Perry. "Our time in the studio with Rick was so incredible because during our early sessions he challenged us to set higher goals as songwriters." "With that experience came the realization that we needed to take the music back home to Tennessee and have Dann Huff bring the songs to life with his production," adds Neil Perry. "Sometimes where one starts off is not where one ends up, which is a big theme for us on PIONEER." READ MORE
